Great talk, I agree with some others that the bootcamp could have been a lot shorter so we could have gotten more from the meaty plugins part and the more advanced usage.
Your demo setup was very clear though and well prepared. Excellent performance.
As a sidenote, I can totally sympathize with the aligning of stuff like variable assignments. I am quite keen on that as well and have already added tabularize to my 'got to have' list ;)
Great talk! Its subject fits well in the web dev era we're living in right now. Thnx
Awesome talk. Although I kind of missed all the slapstick that happened at the PHPNW rendition of this talk.
Learned some new stuff, altough lots of it was confirming my experience with REST services already. But it can't hurt to refreshen knowledge about it. Thanks
I liked the fact that it wasn't YAST (Yet Another SQL injection Talk), but approached the subject of security a bit broader. Having said that, a bit more depth could have gone a long way. Perhaps showing a usage example of one of the tools. Just to make it a bit more involved.
I also think the speaker is more used to giving this talk in dutch, which made the flow of the talk a little less smooth then it could have been.
Overall a pretty reasonable talk, will certainly be checkout out some of the mentioned tools.
Very motivating and practical for me. I would liked the slides as well.
Now I know it is possible but Iam still searching for the right code to nail it.
(5 stars with the slides)
Although I wasn't expecting too much from this talk, it really was an eye opener at some points. Very interesting talk. Very good speakers also. Good job!
Great insight in PHP's inner low level workings. It has obviously lots to do with the fact you're a C developer as well (APM) :-). Although not all data structures are used on a daily bases, It can't hurt to learn something about it's inner workings to improve performance on large scale data processing. Thnx
