Very clean and effective slides. Picked up some useful bits and there were some nicely explained concepts too. However, saying it was your first big talk at the start would have been more helpful, as the delivery needed some improvement but because the rest was so smooth I didn't realise.
Very interesting information, but I agree the slides could be improved. Too much code which sometimes confused the speaker. But that said, I think Nick did a great job and I learnt a lot of new stuff.
I never really used vim, so I hoped to get an idea of the power of the tool and maybe even a reason for switching over from my favourite IDE.
Matthew convinced me of the power, but I am not 100% convinced yet if I will be able to forego my nice shiney IDE for this raw, brute powertool. BUT... I will give it a try!
